Pacific Educational Press is the publishing house of the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia. One of two university presses at UBC, Pacific Educational Press has been publishing exceptional books and media packages for educators since 1971. The press publishes a growing list of textbooks for teacher education programs at universities and colleges and is seeking books in the foundations of education and on contemporary issues in education for future publication. It also publishes professional resources for practising teachers, especially in the subject area of language arts, social studies, multiculturalism and anti-racist education, science and the environment, and the fine arts and music.
Pacific Educational Press provides complimentary examination copies of textbooks to full-time faculty members to consider for course adoption. Requests for examination copies must include the following information: department name, course name and number, course date, anticipated enrolment, and title of book currently in use. All examination copies are sent out at the publisher's discretion.
